Recording Real Estate Documents
**** IMPORTANT NOTICE ****
Standardization for Recording Real Estate
Documents
Effective January 1, 2002
Senate Bill 515 and House Bill 606 have been signed into law and will significantly change document formatting for real estate recording effective January 1, 2002. Therefore, we want to make you aware of the timeframe and requirements so that you may make plans for an efficient transition.
It is important to understand that the new law changes document formatting - it does not change statutory requirements for documents to be accepted for recording.
The Recorders Association of Missouri believes that this standardization will create a more efficient and timely recording process for our users. Since this will be a learning process for everyone, we want to help you in any way possible to understand and implement these changes without disruption to your business.
Please contact our office if you have any questions or need additional information, 417-358-0431 or 417-625-4375.
